Its Depends on numerous factors. Educational qualifications, experience, location and a fair amount of luck as well(yeah you read that right, luck!). First off, it depends on the location. If you are in metro cities or talking of the super famous pvt universities(Eg: Lovely, Sharda, Jaypee,Galgotia Univ or BML Munjal), then with the right qualifications and exp the sky is the limit. But the right qualifications and exp mean Ph.D/PostDoc from a very good institution(tier-1 colleges: IITs, IISCs, NITs, or the likes or abroad) and some experience(atleast 2-3 years). I myself know of someone who had a PostDoc from abroad and had a package of 30lpa at one of these universities, with just about 2 years of experience. In any case, if you are a fresh Ph.D from a good institution as those mentioned above you can expect a package of about 9lpa or upwards(depending on your luck totally). Past Experience will make the figure go higher and higher. Without a Ph.D degree, again if you are M.Tech from a good college, you can expect a salary of about 40k per month at these
